Origin and distribution. German sort, popular since 1850. Popular in Germany and Russia. Imported in Bulgaria in 1958. Basic standard sort. Popular all around the country. Agrobiological and ecological characteristics. The tree is strong growing, with pyramidal to wide pyramidal, average thick crown. The branches are well garnished, mainly with May bouquets. Blossoms late. Inter-sterile group with Kozerska. Pollinates with Lambert, Hedelfinger and Napoleon. Mid-early cropping, vigorous. Very sensitive to cylinder sporiosis. Resistant to cold. If it rains a lot while ripening – the fruit cracks. Not requiring to the climate. Prefers light to mid-heavy Изисква леки до средно тежки, permeable soil. The fruit ripens end of June. It is large (23 x 25 x 22 mm), average weight 8,1g, wide heart-shaped, beautiful, with a bit flat belly side and round top. The stalk pit is deep and wide. The stalk is long and average thick. The belly seam is thin black line. The back side is a bit inflated with shallow wide hollow. The skin is average thick, dark red with back shade, glance, with multiple hard-to-see black spots. The flesh is thick, pale-rose, darker red around the stone, with rose-yellow nerves, sweet-sour, very good to excellent taste qualities. The juice is light-rose. The stone is large (11 x 9 x 7 mm), average weight 0,3g , forming about 4,3% of the weight of the fruit, egg-shaped, smooth, easy to separate from the meat. By outer appearance the fruit resembles very much the Kozerska. Technological characteristics. The fruit is very good for manipulation and transportation and is an excellent stock. Good for preserving too.
