Origin and distribution. Obtained by cross breeding Ajanska X and Grand Duck in the New York agricultural research center Geneva, USA in 1910. Imported in Bulgaria in 1961 and is widely spread. Agrobiological and ecological characteristics. The tree is average growing. The crown is reverse pyramidal, thin. It loses strength relatively early. The skeletal branches come out at an angle of 45 degrees, with thick May bouquetс. Buds wake early, scarce branches. Blossoms mid early. Good pollenizer, fertile. Goes into fast and early fruitfulness.Vigor is large and regular. Tolerant to pox, rarely is attacked by red stains and rustiness. Very sensitive to early and late rotting. Satisfactory resistance to drought and not that good to sudden winter cold. Not very requiring to the soil. Good for intensive planting, requiring advanced agro-machines. The fruit ripens end of August – beginning of September- fast to overripe. It is large (49 х 37 х 36 mm), with average weight 32 g, reverse egg-shape, small neck, insymmetric. The belly seam is indicative, in a good furrow. The top is light, in a small hollow. The skin is thin, dark-violet-blue with multiple spots and a strong coating. The flesh is green-yellow, thick, with grain structure, juicy with good taste qualities. The stone is very large (27 х 8 х 14 mm), average weight 1,53 g, forming 5,2% of the weight of the fruit, oval, with dimple surface, shart towards the stalk, almost easily separated from the stone. Technological characteristics. If they are cropped in time, the fruit is good for transportation. When fully ripe, not good for preservation. Used for fresh consummation, drying and rakia. The conserved fruit are excellent, the juice is very good.
